Betway Sportsbook Can Launch In Indiana As Early As May 28

Betway Sportsbook can make its Indiana debut on May 28.

That’s the earliest date that the sportsbook can open up for business in the state.

Betway is brand new to the US. It just launched in Colorado, which makes Indiana the company’s second market.

Once it’s up and running, Hoosiers will have 12 different Indiana online betting apps to choose from.

European sportsbooks head to Indiana

Betway is the latest example of a European sportsbook making its way across the pond.

More companies are looking to get in on the action as the US sports betting market expands.

Indiana is one of the largest markets in the country, so it makes sense that sportsbooks like Betway would make the state a priority.

The Hoosier State already has the following foreign sportsbooks taking bets:

  • PointsBet
  • William Hill
  • theScore Bet
  • Unibet

Before long, Indiana will be able to add Betway, SBK Sportsbook and 888sport to that list.

Betway partners with Belterra Casino

Belterra Casino has carved out a formidable corner of the state’s sports betting market.

Indiana online sportsbooks have to partner up with a retail casino before they can start taking bets.

Belterra is already working with BetMGM Indiana Sportsbook, so business has been booming for both sides over the last year.

BetMGM is the third-most popular sportsbook in any given month when you take a look at Indiana sports betting handle.

The company took in nearly $31 million worth of wagers in April, which was miles ahead of next-best PointsBet’s $10 million haul.

Although it’s still a ways away from catching FanDuel’s $67 million second-place handle, BetMGM has still managed to capture the interest of Indiana gamblers.

Adding Betway to the mix should only strengthen Belterra’s position in the state.

Once Betway officially launches, Belterra will become the fourth casino in Indiana with multiple sportsbook partners.

It will be joining Ameristar East Chicago, Horseshoe Hammond, and Rising Star Casino in that regard.

More Indiana sports betting options

All things considered, Betway’s Indiana launch is great news for gamblers throughout the state.

The more sportsbooks that come to Indiana, the more competitive that the market becomes.

That means better promos and deals for gamblers as companies try to get a leg up on each other.

At the very least, having 12 different sportsbooks gives Hoosiers some options.

The summer months are typically slower for the sports betting business.

The betting volume tends to dip with football gone and basketball coming to a close.

We’ve already seen the beginning of that dip in Indiana. As expected, the state’s handle took a step back in April.

Trying out a different sportsbook could be a fun way for Hoosiers to mix things up during the slow months.

Giving Betway a shot could be an entertaining way to make that happen.

Barstool Sportsbook just launched in Indiana, so that’s another new option for gambling.

With SBK and 888’s launches right around the corner, the flow of new betting options won’t be stopping anytime soon.
