WynnBET App Could Beat Barstool Sportsbook To Indiana Launch

WynnBET sportsbook is broadening its presence across the US.

The company has now gained market access to seven additional states.

WynnBET has commenced operations in New Jersey and Colorado and plans to launch in Michigan on Friday, Jan. 22, marking the first day of online sports betting in Michigan.

In addition to Michigan, WynnBET will also be launching in Indiana in the near future.

WynnBET heads to Indiana

WynnBET is aiming to become the 11th online betting app in Indiana, which already hosts 10 different ones.

Yet, Wynn Resorts doesn’t possess any casinos in Indiana. This constituted an obstacle, as online sportsbooks are required to collaborate with a physical casino prior to their launch in the state.

Wynn established a partnership with Full House Resorts to meet certain requirements. Full House, which operates the Rising Star Casino in Indiana, will now serve as the new retail partner for WynnBET.

That same deal also provided the sportsbook with market access in Colorado.

Taking everything into account, Rising Star will receive some crucial assistance in the online sportsbook sector through the deal.

The casino is currently partnered with BetAmerica, however, the sportsbook’s performance in Indiana has been significantly disappointing. In an attempt to start anew, Churchill Downs is rebranding the company as TwinSpires.

SBK Sportsbook, as one of Rising Star’s partners, is also initiating its launch in Indiana. The casino could finally establish the online presence in Indiana it has always desired, thanks to SBK and WynnBET.

Indiana welcomes new sportsbooks in 2021

Throughout 2020, Indiana saw the opening of six new sportsbooks. The following companies all made their debut in the state last year:

It appears that 2021 will once again be a bustling year for the state’s online market. WynnBET and SBK are not the sole companies journeying to the Hoosier State.

Sometime this year, Barstool Sportsbook will make its online debut in Indiana. The company already operates two retail sportsbooks at Ameristar East Chicago and Hollywood Lawrenceburg.

In 2021, 888Sport is also planning to expand to Indiana. It will become the first online partner of Harrah’s Hoosier Park’s sportsbook once it commences operations.

Records are set by sports betting in Indiana.

The success of sports betting in Indiana is attracting numerous new companies to the state.

In 2020, Hoosiers placed bets totaling over $1.7 billion on sports, with December accounting for over $313 million of that amount. This marked Indiana’s fourth consecutive month of record-breaking sports betting.

The massive numbers have established Indiana as one of the largest sports betting markets in the nation.

Nevertheless, the potential for online casinos in the state also allures all these new firms. With an ongoing initiative to sanction online gaming across the Hoosier State, the year 2021 could set a new record as the most successful year for Indiana's gambling industry.
