The Stoolies Are Coming: Barstool Indiana Sportsbook Launching May 18

Barstool Sportsbook is finally set to make its debut in Indiana.

The company will commence its digital business operations on May 18.

Barstool will become the 11th online sportsbook in Indiana once it launches.

Barstool Sportsbook tackles Midwest

Bets are already being taken in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Illinois by Barstool.

The company’s launch in Indiana continues that Midwest trend.

The digital sportsbook is set to launch in all legal markets by the end of the year, and its introduction in the Hoosier State has been eagerly awaited.

In December, two retail Barstool Sportsbooks were launched in Indiana. These physical sportsbook locations can be found at Ameristar East Chicago and Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg.

Penn National Gaming, the owner of both casinos, also holds a significant part of the Barstool brand. This ownership ensures Penn’s collaboration with the digital version of the sportsbook once it commences operation.

Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg dominates

Before launching in Indiana, online sportsbooks are required to partner with a retail casino.

The company decided to pair Barstool and Hollywood Lawrenceburg together since Penn owns both.

Penn aims to solidify the casino’s position as a leading entity in Indiana’s gambling sector.

The Barstool book at Hollywood, which is an in-person event, has already achieved immense success. It ranks as one of the most popular sportsbooks nationwide.

During April alone, Hollywood’s sportsbook managed wagers exceeding $8.4 million. This was a significant increase from Ameristar’s second-place turnover of $5.1 million.

Incorporating Barstool’s online sportsbook could elevate Hollywood’s dominance in Indiana to a higher level.

Hollywood is already in partnership with PointsBet Sportsbook, making Barstool the casino’s second online collaborator.

Indiana sportsbooks enjoy a prosperous spring.

Taking everything into account, it’s an excellent period for gamblers in Indiana.

Last month, two new companies, WynnBET and TwinSpires, entered the market. WynnBET commenced operations online on April 1, starting off on a positive note. TwinSpires also started its journey on April 20.

TwinSpires company is essentially a rebranding of BetAmerica, however, it offers a completely new platform and interface for gamblers.

The fun is being amplified with the launch of Barstool’s on May 18.

This will provide Hoosiers with more betting options than they’ve ever had before.

Indiana has already established itself as one of the largest sports betting markets in the nation, with continued growth anticipated. Several other firms have plans to commence operations within the state this year.

New Indiana online sportsbooks

Last year, Indiana saw the launch of six distinct online sportsbooks, and the pace of 2021 already suggests another significant year of expansion.

WynnBET and Barstool are not the only online sportsbooks arriving in Indiana before year’s end. There are additional ones on their way.

  • SBK Sportsbook
  • 888sport
  • MaximBet
  • fubo Sportsbook

When everything is finalized, Hoosiers will have an unprecedented number of sportsbooks to choose from.

Everything begins when Barstool Sportsbook commences its operations.
