How did the Bulls do last year?

The 2020–21 Chicago Bulls finished the pandemic-shortened NBA season with a record of 31-41. That ultimately had the team third in the Central Division and 11th in the Eastern Conference.

Brief Bulls history

The Chicago Bulls joined the NBA in the 1966–67 NBA season.

The Bulls won six NBA titles during the 1990s. In fact, Hall of Famers Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and coach Phil Jackson helped make the 90s Bulls one of the greatest dynasties in NBA history.

They played in six NBA Finals and won them all. Jordan is widely considered the greatest basketball player of all time.

The 1995–96 Bulls won 72 of 82 games, becoming the first team in NBA history to win 70 or more.

The team struggled after Jordan retired, but returned to prominence after winning the 2008 NBA draft lottery and selecting Chicago native Derrick Rose first overall.

Rose went on to win the 2011 NBA MVP Award and helped the Bulls reach the Eastern Conference finals for the first time since the 1990s.

However, they lost to the Miami Heat, and after locking up the first seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs in 2012, Rose tore his ACL in the season's first playoff game. Rose was never the same player; he eventually left, and the Bulls have struggled since.
