Tropicana Evansville Will Soon Become Bally’s Evansville

Tropicana Evansville is now officially owned by Bally’s.

Last year, the company purchased the casino from Caesars, however, Indiana regulators had to approve the $140 million transaction.

Today, Bally’s received the final approval from the gaming commission.

Bally's Evansville arrives

New owner, new name.

Bally’s is set to rebrand Tropicana Evansville as “Bally’s Evansville” soon.

During the transition, the casino is temporarily not accepting gamblers.

Since its opening in 1995, the casino has undergone its second name change.

The riverboat “Casino Aztar” was the first-ever casino in Indiana.

After purchasing the property in 2013, Caesars renamed it.

Now that Bally’s is in possession of the keys, the company aims to make a significant impact on the gambling market in Indiana.

Spreading the company’s brand awareness will constitute a significant part of that growth.

Purchasing FOX Sports Indiana was an excellent method to initiate that.

Bally’s is already somewhat familiar with Hoosier hoops fans, as the network broadcasts all of the Indiana Pacers games.

Soon, the company will be able to engage with an even broader audience in Indiana.

Making that happen will crucially involve launching its online sportsbook.

Bally Bet sportsbook is coming soon.

Bally Bet Sportsbook, already operational in Colorado, is now expanding to Indiana.

When Bally Bet officially begins operations, it’s almost certain that Bally’s Evansville will be the retail casino partner of the sportsbook.

The casino has already partnered with William Hill Indiana, and Bally Bet will be its second online sportsbook partner.

When it eventually begins accepting bets, Bally Bet will be entering a highly competitive sportsbook market.

Already, Indiana has 12 unique online betting apps, with more set to launch.

The following sportsbooks are set to debut in Indiana by the end of the year:

  • SBK Sportsbook
  • 888sport
  • fubo Sportsbook
  • MaximBet

Add Bally Bet to the equation, and Hoosiers will soon have 17 options to choose from.

This year has seen numerous new sportsbook launches in Indiana.

A week ago, Betway was launched, followed by the earlier launch of Barstool Sportsbook this month. In addition, WynnBET has been operational since April.

It might be a few months before Bally Bet joins the club.

The company has not yet obtained its temporary vendor license, which is the primary initial step towards launching an online sportsbook in the state.

Ultimately, the speed of the launch process is in Bally’s hands. If the company prioritizes it, the process can be quick.

Meanwhile, Bally’s Evansville will replace the on-site William Hill sportsbook at the casino with a Bally’s Sports Bar & Grill.
