Will The Barstool App Take Bets In Indiana By Super Bowl Kickoff?

Will a new online sportsbook be launched in Indiana before the Super Bowl?

The Super Bowl represents the largest gambling event annually. This grand finale of the football season draws significant betting attention each year.

Sportsbooks are keen to participate in the action, given the high number of viewers on Super Bowl Sunday.

Indiana currently boasts 10 online sportsbooks, however, this may change as soon as this week. Specifically, the Hoosier State could soon be welcoming Barstool Sportsbook.

Barstool Sportsbook Michigan

Barstool Sportsbook, until recently, was only operational in Pennsylvania. However, the company finally expanded its operations to Michigan on Jan. 22.

The inaugural day of online sports betting in the state made it necessary for Barstool to prioritize Michigan to meet the launch deadline. This raises the question, can the company meet the Super Bowl deadline in Indiana?

Launching in sync with the Super Bowl would be an excellent strategy to gain significant attention in Indiana’s market.

Indeed, placing bets on the year’s biggest sporting event is an excellent method to kick-start business.

It is already known that Barstool Sportsbook will be launching in Indiana at some point in 2021.

Now that the company has begun accepting bets in a neighboring state, there’s a higher chance it may expand to Indiana sooner than expected. This could potentially make the Super Bowl an unforgettable event.

Barstool Sportsbook retail locations in Indiana are now open for business.

Another factor indicating that Barstool’s online launch may soon arrive in Indiana is the presence of retail sportsbooks.

Penn National Gaming, which owns a substantial portion of Barstool, provides the company with access to new markets through its casinos.

Penn, in Indiana, is the owner of both Ameristar East Chicago and Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg. Just last month, the company launched retail Barstool Sportsbooks at these two locations.

Therefore, even though placing your Barstool bets in-person is currently necessary, Hoosiers still have some access to the brand.

Barstool is considering Indiana for its retail sportsbooks investment. It’s unclear if the online version of the sportsbook will be ready for the Super Bowl, but Indiana gamblers can expect to access the app at some point this year.

2021 New Sportsbooks in Indiana

Barstool is en route to Indiana, however, it’s not the only sportsbook that will be arriving in the state this year.

WynnBET, similar to Barstool, was also launched in Michigan the previous week. The Wynn sportsbook is set to arrive in Indiana through a partnership with Rising Star Casino.

Also on its journey is SBK Sportsbook. The operator, based in London, is already functional in Colorado and will be partnering with WynnBET as one of Rising Star’s latest partners.

888Sport, collaborating with Harrah’s Hoosier Park, is last but not least. The company also aims to play a significant role in the future online casino market in Indiana.

It is unknown whether any of these sportsbooks will be launched in time for the Super Bowl.

Nonetheless, all these companies are queued up to start operations in the state. Ultimately, Hoosiers will have an unprecedented number of sports betting options.
