WynnBET Sportsbook Misses Targeted Launch Date In Indiana

This year, WynnBET will not be participating in the betting action for Indiana’s March Madness.

On March 25, the company could have emerged as the 10th online sportsbook in the state.

Regrettably, WynnBET did not meet the expected target date and failed to launch until April 1.

First sportsbook fails to meet launch date

The final step to launch an online sportsbook in Indiana is receiving final approval from the Indiana Gaming Commission.

On March 23, WynnBET received approval, allowing the company to potentially start accepting bets as early as March 25, provided they were ready.

The company finally made its debut in Indiana, although it took an extra week.

Being in such a situation is strange as it has never occurred before in Indiana.

The eagerness of companies to start accepting bets at the earliest opportunity is why no sportsbook in the state has ever failed to meet its launch date endorsed by the gaming commission.

Currently, WynnBET has gained market access to a few new gambling states, with Indiana being the priority among these new markets.

If it wasn’t for March Madness, not being online at the earliest possible time wouldn’t matter much.

WynnBET misses March Madness

If the earliest launch date of WynnBET Indiana was mid-July, there wouldn’t be much to discuss here.

Nevertheless, not participating in one of the most significant sports betting events of the year is substantial.

When it comes to sports betting, much attention is commanded by the Super Bowl and March Madness.

Both events prompt a rush to open sportsbooks for business.

Last year in Indiana, we witnessed the launch of BetMGM and PointsBet, and this year in Illinois, the launch of Barstool Sportsbook took place.

March Madness holds particular significance as a gambling event due to the numerous games occurring within a few weeks. Each game presents a fresh chance to draw in bettors.

If WynnBET had managed to launch on March 25, it would have been online just in time for the Sweet 16.

The sportsbook may have missed the majority of the tournament, but at least it was operational in time for the Final Four.

WynnBet outpaces Barstool Sportsbook in Indiana.

Before the end of April, Barstool Sportsbook will be launching its operations in Indiana.

The launch of WynnBet on April 1 slightly outpaced Barstool in reaching the market.

If things had prolonged further, Barstool could have potentially snagged the title of becoming Indiana’s 10th online betting app.

Barstool might be launching in the latter half of the month, thereby providing WynnBET with an opportunity to find its footing prior to facing the increased competition.
